alena cuteness

Since I gave up facebook for lent, i have another couple of weeks to go before i can share all of the random funny things alena says and does. i'll use this to get a couple out.

story 1:
when we go to the grocery store and get a round sticker, for some reason she sticks it on her mouth, completely covering her mouth and says "i'm like a bunny rabbit!" ok. 2nd bit of background, everyone is people. if the mailman comes she'll say "people bring my mail!" if we go to the drive-thru, she'll say "i see my people! people give me food!" so the other night we were at target and while checking out the guy gave alena a round sticker. she started to put it on her mouth, but the guy stopped her and said "don't put that on your mouth, honey, it might hurt when you take it off." as we walked out of the store, she frowned and said "people tell me i can't put it on my lips (or, as she says, "yips")" she thought for a minute and said "people not my daddy!" as in, he's not my daddy and can't tell me where to put my sticker! er...ok. this is much funnier when i tell it in person. ;)

story 2:
alena made an egg today. like a big construction paper oval which she decorated and gave a face. she brought the egg over and jumped it around saying "cluck! cluck! cluck!" i said "does an egg say cluck cluck?" she said "yes." i said "or does a chicken say cluck cluck?" she said "well, an egg says cluck cluck." i said, "well, how are the chicken and egg alike? ...the chicken is the egg's mommy. well...also the chick's mommy. well, the egg will be a chicken when it grows up, maybe. er...never mind." i was laughing and jared said "maybe we'll leave it at "the egg says(....) cluck cluck." as in, IF the egg hatches and IF the chick grows up, then it will say cluck cluck. hahahahaaa...er..maybe also better told in person. :)

that's all i got right now.

a little under 3 more weeks til my facebook fast is over! (the fast that i did NOT break on april 1, by the way!)
